John Mc Bride


John has extensive experience and education in Multimedia and Web Design. Whilst working for the City of New York he leads design initiatives and efforts to keep the Cities sites looking fresh and modern. He is responsible for UI (User Interface), UX (User Experience) design and overall site functionality and maintenance. John works mainly with the Deputy Commissioners and on occasion the Commissioner to ensure that the ACS Internet and Intranet are informative, up to date and play a key role in the agencies communication and collaboration objectives.

John likes to keep up to date with Modern Web Trends and is currently studying for certification in Inbound Marketing, Google Ad words and taking Codeschool.com and Lynda.com courses.

John has built several sites using various Content Management Systems, including but not limited to, Expression Engine, WordPress, Drupal and Business Catalyst. He also designed and built ACS’s Intranet using Drupal so that other Departments can maintain their own sections on it.

He has worked on large scale projects ranging from animating and designing for Microsoft to branding, creating interactive, dynamic websites and creative leadership for New York City government agencies.

His creative Design abilities have been an integral and vital element in the modernization and continual evolution of Web Design Standards within ACS and its Divisions.
